In some versions of the story
it wasn’t the sun that Icarus flew too close to-
it was the ocean
with it’s tantalizing blue depths
and salt water that stripped his wings of glue and down down down he fell
sinking into the waves
no one ever taught him how to swim.

in some versions of the story
Persephone walked into the underworld with her head held high
eyes forward
ready to take and take and take
she stole the pomegranate seeds and when Hades found out
he was furious and sent her away
but every six months the seeds brought her back to the gate
and a crown made of thorns grew on top of her head
and she was queen.

in some versions of the story
Artemis fell in love with a mortal
and when he broke her heart she grew cold and unfeeling
not even her brother could pull her from her darkness
there are days when she still finds herself at the windowsill
waiting waiting waiting for her lover to return
knowing he’s with another.

in some versions of the story
Medusa grew lonely
she lived in a garden of statues and no one came to visit anymore and all she wanted was someone to love
she became angrier and angrier at the cursed serpents on her head until one day
she grabbed gardening shears and one by one by one
chopped off the heads of the snakes
but with their life force went hers and they bled out together
and with a knowing look in her eyes she faded away.

in some versions of the story
the Gods and monsters and legends are still among us
in churches and diners and battlefields
they sit hunched over on dirty porch steps with cigarettes in their hands
or across from you as a dinner date
they have become us in more ways than one

in some versions of the story
the myths never faded from our minds because they are still in front of our eyes and
you are the main character
you are the reason we are all still here.

Character

They are sensitive, lobing and kind people. They have a deep and abiding desire for peace and happiness for everyone. If you ask to a Pleiadian what he wants from life, he would answer, “be happy.” The Pleiadians have a cozy and pleasant energy, very appreciated by others.
They are emotional and loving, but they tend to get depressed a lot because of their desire to please others. They are sensitive and react quickly to criticism. Pleiadians tend to sacrifice personal needs and wishes in an attempt to please others. This may cause a within resentment. Rather than openly express resentment and anger, Pleiadians may instead use passive aggressive behavior in hopes that their feelings will be noticed (and paid …) without the need to an argument.
They must learn to realize that the other, who they try to please, usually prefer to listen to their needs and feelings. The Pleiadians can become physically ill in situations where there are anger, tension or arguments, as they absorb the emotions of other people in an unconscious attempt to mediate and smooth out those situations. The tendency to repress emotions absorbed from others can form energy blocks if they are not released within a certain period of time. This can lead to eventual physical illness. A large part of the learning experience for Pleiadians is learning to allow others to experience what they have chosen, and not personally involved. They will learn to be aware of their desire to make others happy and realize that you can be responsible only for their own happiness and your own personal development.

The Pleiadian starseeds may develop hobbies and leisure activities similar to temporary escapes from reality 3D, or insist on false aids in building their communication skills or self-confidence. These needs of escapism could materialize with the intake of drugs or alcohol, with the creation of a sexual or romantic dramas, or just with the cultivation of distractions such as reading, television or cinema.

The Pleiadians release emotions and karma through crying. Their tendency to repress emotions can lead to a point at which a release becomes necessary. This may lead them to cry, sometimes so much as to seem excessive if proportioned to the situation. In fact, the emotional release participates much more than what is merely involved in the situation.

Several Pleiadians experience different types of release in the throat chakra area such as crying, speaking difficulty or frequent physical problems such as hoarseness, coughing, or tightness in the throat chakra. These problems do not occur more when confidence and free communication of emotions and needs are learned and used in everyday life.

They know that there is a connection with God, that there is a purpose and a divine plan, even in the darkest periods of their existence. They have the inner desire to look for spiritual answers and to find their connection with the Divine force. From the moment they begin to try and learn, their growth begins. From the moment they begin to realize the connection with God and to love themselves as the perfect beings who they are, many of the old feelings, emotions and doubts about themselves, dissolve and disappear.

Understand Your Love Life with Astrology & the Elements!

the-spiritual-tarot:

So I don’t know what it was that inspired me today…. but I started thinking about the many (not THAT many) men that have walked in and out of my life… and what their astrological sun signs are. I also began wondering what element they are each ruled by. I think it was sparked by tarot readings I was watching on youtube regarding the September love forecast. Multiple readers were pretty spot on on my personal situation and many of them kept referring to relationships with Water signs. As that is super pertinent to my life I was really interested to look into it more. I had the slight feeling that it would give me some clarity of the situations I’ve been in recently. Lately its seemed like I’ve had a lot of potential options but nothing has played out in a way I’ve wanted.

So I did what any 20-something rational woman would do… and I made a chart and list of boyfriends and flings and heartbreaks and birthdays and sun signs and elements that have been in my life over the last decade……. haha!

And now I UNDERSTAND! I was so stunned when I saw it all written down.
